His Highness the Southern Governor, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, attended a celebration hosted by the Japanese Embassy in Bahrain for "Expo 2025 Osaka - Kansai." The event featured dignitaries, including the Chairman of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Japanese Ambassador Asako Okai, who emphasised the strong ties between Bahrain and Japan.
HH Southern Governor highlighted Bahrain's participation in the expo as a significant step towards innovation and sustainable development. Preparations for the event, set for 13 April to 13 October 2025, were discussed, along with an exhibition showcasing the Southern Governorate's achievements and cultural connections with Japan.
The Japanese Ambassador called for leveraging opportunities from the expo, while the evening included cultural performances and presentations on Japan's tourism
