Northern Governor, Ali Abdul Hussain Al Asfoor attended the International Day of Older Persons celebration held by the Abdul Rahman Kanoo Centre for Parental Care in cooperation with the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group.
The Northern Governor stressed the importance of supporting and caring for the elderly, enhancing the services provided to them, as well as encouraging humanitarian and national programmes and initiatives to improve their quality of life and their active participation in society and achieving social integration for this category by organising programmes.
The celebration included welcoming speeches, various poems, and children's participation in singing songs on this occasion. The event also witnessed a large turnout of senior citizens.
