The Capital Governorate Police Directorate has detained a 22-year-old man for stealing jewellery valued at around BD 3,000, along with cell phones, from jewellery stores. Investigations based on received information helped identify and capture the suspect. It was found that he had deceived the seller into believing he had completed the payment for his purchases via the 'Beneft' application, when, in fact, he had not finalized the transaction.
Legal proceedings were taken and the suspect was referred to the Public Prosecution.
