The President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed in Hamad Al Khalifa led Bahrain’s delegation in the 11th meeting of the Board of the GCC Customs Union Authority.
During the meeting, the status of the projects for establishing the union and the results of the work of the technical committees and working groups were reviewed, in addition to following up on the implementation of the decisions of the Executive Council of the Customs Union Authority.
At the end of the meeting, the Customs Union Authority issued a number of recommendations aimed at completing the requirements of the union , and directing the technical committees and work teams to intensify efforts to complete the aforementioned projects in terms of agreeing on the mechanism for completing the automatic linking of customs systems and determining the role of the Customs Union Authority in this regard.
