The General Directorate of Media and Security Culture has organised a training course on developing media skills for the Interior Ministry’s affiliates of officers and civilians. Experts in diplomatic media presented the course.
The Director-General of Media and Security Culture, Major-General Mohammed Bin Daina, said that the course was part of a dedication to reinforcing the role of training in developing media expertise to meet media standards and the development and modernisation approach of the Interior Minister adopted by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
He explained that keeping pace with the continuous development of media with all its means and tools and developing renewed skills and knowledge, is worthy of producing an effective message in police media in a way that achieves the desired goals with the required efficiency and speed. He added that the training programme is based on practical training and how to accomplish work effectively and provide participants with the necessary skills and develop the services provided in media and security culture.
The course aims to develop the participants' skills in writing various types of news according to international standards followed in journalistic writing, in addition to enabling them to build an influential media personality capable of delivering messages effectively.
The course included training activities in several areas, including how to use body language correctly in front of the camera and defining the foundations and techniques necessary for dealing with the media.
