Chief of Public Security chairs RAP Scientific Council meeting

The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, has chaired the 70th meeting of the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) Scientific Council. The Deputy Chief of Public Security, Major-General Dr Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and RAP Commander, Major-General Fawaz Al Hassan, attended.

The Chief of Public Security expressed thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa for his ongoing support of the council and his wise directives to develop curricula and training programmes. 

He highly valued the council’s dedication to issuing RAP development and modification decisions to enhance security performance, education and training standards to achieve RAP’s goals. 

The Chief directed using artificial intelligence applications in the educational process by selecting a sample of education programmes to apply such an approach. He also directed the application of the outcome of the monitoring process of social phenomena in RAP’s education programmes in cooperation with the Public Security Presidency for Community Affairs. The meeting also discussed developing mechanisms for publishing scientific theses and several training programmes and the need to link them to the training directive issued by the General Security Presidency.

The meeting concluded with a brief of RAP achievements, in which the Chief thanked the council members and wished them all the best.
