Chief of Public Security briefs on "Najm" development project

The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, asserted the dedication of the Interior Ministry led by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for Bahrain police to be an outstanding modern institution. The development of the Bahrain police is based on modern technology and work methods and the adoption of innovative technology, along with reinforcing development and modernisation in the security system, he added.

The Chief highlighted that was being briefed on the Unified Criminal Justice System (Najm) development project implemented by the Information Technology and e-Systems Directorate of the Interior Ministry in the presence of officials. He was also informed of the most significant features that would be developed to promote police work and the duration of the project’s implementation. The Chief was also briefed on the modern e-projects that would be utilised in the security operations. 

The Chief highlighted the continuation of the Interior Ministry to invest in technology development, artificial intelligence, and smart systems to be linked to police operations to align with the government action plan and economic vision for 2030 and contribute to tackling challenges and moving forward toward police work that meets modern technology. 

He asserted the significance of developing (Najm) for its major role in speeding up measures and reducing time and effort by displaying and exchanging information between all concerned parties. He praised the efforts of the Information Technology and e-Systems Directorate and the keenness to implement projects that include services with the highest levels of efficiency, accuracy and speed of performance.
