The Northern Governorate and the World Health Organization concluded their tour to assess the governorate’s accreditation as a healthy governorate under the global Healthy Cities Programme.
The Northern Governor Ali bin Al Shaikh Abdulhussain Al Asfoor, emphasised the support of the health system under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the esteemed support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister.
The Northern Governor highlighted the governorate's commitment to promoting health, noting its efforts since adopting Aali as a healthy city. Through meetings with the WHO delegation and exploratory visits, the governorate aimed to showcase the Kingdom's services, striving to enhance quality of life and spread happiness.
The Northern Governor thanked the WHO delegation for their visit and evaluation, as well as the committee heads and officials for their efforts in accrediting the governorate as a healthy governorate. The WHO representative in Bahrain also praised the governorate’s exceptional contributions to the Healthy Cities Programme.
