The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the significant success of the 7th edition of the Bahrain International Airshow 2024.
This was highlighted during his visit to the event. He hailed the significance of the event as part of the development and prosperity of the era of HM the King and the follow-up of the HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Chief said that hosting and organising international exhibitions are opportunities to meet pioneers in the aviation industry and major companies, along with exploring the latest safety and security aviation innovations to build capabilities of law enforcement organisations.
The Chief noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain, through organising international events, had proven its expertise in holding such significant events per global standards. He highlighted the Interior Ministry’s dedication to participate in the airshow since its inception to learn about the latest aviation experiences and technologies and showcase Police Aviation’s experiences, expertise and advanced devices such as drones.
He affirmed that the signing of a letter of Intent with Airbus Company to support and upgrade Police Aviation capabilities was an advanced step to empower Police Aviation to carry out its tasks, including backup services for traffic control, civil defence and Coast Guard in executing search, rescue, medical evacuation and ambulance services.
The Chief expressed gratitude for the distinguished performance of the Interior Ministry’s directorate in carrying out the required arrangements and organisation for this event.
