The Muharraq Governor, Salman bin Isa Bin Hindi Al Mannai, received the Executive Chairman of the General Sports Authority, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sadiq Askar. The Deputy Muharraq Governor, Brigadier Jassim Al Ghattam and officials attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Muharraq Governor praised the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, in promoting sports and public health in the Kingdom, and supporting various sports events that serve the community and contribute to promoting sports as a culture and lifestyle.
The Executive Chairman expressed his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation between the General Sports Authority and the Muharraq Governorate. He noted some pioneering sports programmes would be organised in collaboration with the Muharraq Governorate in the coming period.
