The Public Security Presidency for Community Affairs has held an open discussion on e-blackmailing for government and social organisations. The event was part of the National Children Cybersecurity Protection Unit’s national campaign (Himaya).
The discussion aimed to educate participants about the growing threats associated with cyber-blackmailing targeting children and provide parents and teachers with the tools and knowledge needed to guide children to use the Internet safely. In addition, there are ways to contribute to creating a safe digital environment by presenting best practices to reduce cyber-blackmailing and defining the legal framework and penalties related to such cases.
