As part of the security efforts carried out by the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Science to protect the community from illicit drugs, the directorate was able, in separate incidents, to arrest a number of individuals of various nationalities, including a woman, in possession of more than 7 kilograms of various narcotic substances and psychoactive drugs, in addition to 32 litres of CBD oil. The estimated value of the seized items is around BD 100,000.
An investigation into the received information led to the identification and arresting the suspects and the confiscation of illicit drugs. Legal proceedings were taken, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
