In line with the Ministry of Interior's approach and the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to support Bahraini women and enhance their role in the security system, the Officers' Club held an event to mark Bahraini Women's Day. The celebration highlighted the role of Bahraini women in the Ministry of Interior, who serve as a model of dedication and commitment.
During the event, Director-General of Women Police, Brigadier Mona Abdulraheem, a member of the Supreme Council of Women (SCW), expressed her deep gratitude and appreciation to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King of Bahrain and President of the Supreme Council for Women, for her continuous support and care for Bahraini women in various fields. This support has greatly contributed to enhancing their active role in society. She also commended the support of the Minister of Interior, which has enabled Bahraini women to take on numerous leadership roles and positions within the Ministry's directorates, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing women's rights and status.
She highlighted the active role of women in the police force, delivering services with high levels of competence, and discipline, which has positively impacted the delivery of security services within the framework of constructive community partnership.
The celebration included various activities, such as cultural competitions that created an atmosphere of interaction and fun, musical performances, a folk band, recreational booths, and others featuring traditional foods and art.
