The Interior Ministry Undersecretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa hailed the support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, HM the King’s wife and President of the Supreme Council for Women, to reinforce the contribution of women in the development process through equal opportunities within the prosper era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He valued the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to support Bahraini women and enhance their productivity.
This was highlighted during a ceremony by the General Directorate of Women Police in cooperation with the Interior Ministry’s Equal Opportunity Committee to mark the Bahraini Women’s Day. He honoured some distinguished Interior Ministry affiliates and the “Pioneering Ministry of Interior” award winners.
In a related context, the Director-General of Women Police, Major-General Mona Abdulrahim, expressed her thanks and appreciation to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa for her support for Bahraini women and achieving progress in various fields. She noted that Bahraini women have proven their worth in police work and have become a key element in the security system thanks to the support of HE the Minister of Interior, who has contributed significantly to assuming many tasks and positions in the ministry.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Organisation Shaikha Mashael bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, head of the Equal Opportunities Committee, hailed the skills and competencies of Bahraini women and the pioneering steps taken by the Supreme Council for Women under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, to ensure a decent life for Bahraini women and involve them in decision-making and assuming leadership positions. She also praised the support of HE Interior Minister for Bahraini women in achieving equal employment opportunities and empowering women by providing them with appropriate opportunities.
