The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, received Assistant Chief Constable of Durham Police, Jon Mcadam and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the Chief commended the fruitful partnership between the Ministry of Interior and Durham Constabulary, which has led to the launch of advanced training programmes and workshops. The leading advanced training programmes include training investigators, forensic science, training police leaders, and information collection and analysis.
He said that the training was part of implementing the vision of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to enhance the skills of police affiliates in various police and security work, including criminal investigation, crime scene management, evidence collection, dealing with suspects, care for victims, and forensic science information management.
The Chief asserted the significance of promoting cooperation to continue the development of police performance and security work and exchange expertise between the two parties.
The delegation head appreciated the Interior Ministry's reinforcement of police work standards and hailed its achievement in building a successful security partnership. The meeting was attended by the Commander of the Royal Academy of Police, Director General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources and Assistant Chief of Public Security for Operation and Training Affairs.
