Amn FM highlights the role of Bahrainouna

MOI

Amn FM show, presented by the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture in collaboration with Bahrain Radio, hosted Ms. Hala Ahmed Suleiman, Director of the Executive Office for The National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Value of Citizenship (Bahrainouna).

Ms Hala Ahmed Suleiman emphasised that the National Plan, launched in March 2019, was developed and implemented in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The plan was based on a comprehensive and well-studied methodology by His Excellency Interior Minister and Chairman of the Follow-Up Committee of the National Plan General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, with the participation of a team comprising academics, media professionals, and various societal groups. This plan was translated into national initiatives that are periodically reviewed and developed through institutional collaboration and the use of technology to enhance the national values of the Kingdom of Bahrain among citizens, particularly the youth.

She noted that the National Plan "Bahrainouna" is the first national document to define and promote Bahraini identity. Over the past five years, the plan has implemented approximately 104 initiatives in collaboration with 42 partners, achieving a 93% completion rate. These initiatives are distributed across five main tracks: curricula, media, public relations, community activities, and legislation.

Director of Bahrainouna highlighted that collaboration with the plan's partners—comprising approximately 27-29 official entities—plays a vital role in implementing a set of initiatives specific to the scope of each ministry. These initiatives include operational plans, media strategies, and performance indicators designed in a strategic and administrative manner to ensure the message reaches the target audience effectively.

She stated that achieving the outcomes and success of the National Plan relies on community partnership. She pointed to initiatives that have been launched, such as the "Experts Platform," a digital platform aimed at enhancing communication and interaction with experts and specialists in various fields within Bahrain. Additionally, she mentioned the "Kafu 1 and 2" programme, which highlights outstanding Bahraini figures across diverse fields, and the "Bahraini Camera" initiative, involving nearly 300 Bahraini youth and experts in cinematic and television production.

Moreover, she discussed the "Volunteer Platform" initiative, with the participation of 35,000 citizens and residents during the health crisis, showcasing the dedication and capabilities of the countries people. She also highlighted the development of Watani Magazine, which aims to educate children and youth by instilling national values in an interactive and engaging manner.

She affirmed that the plan contributes to strengthening the unity of the Bahraini people amidst regional challenges through an integrated strategy overseen by a ministerial committee chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Interior. This strategy periodically measures its impact in collaboration with the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International, and Energy Studies (Derasat) and the Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA). Additionally, it involves cooperation with the National Communication Center to assess national values in local and international media.

Ms. Hala Suleiman announced the new phase of the National Plan (2024–2027), which focuses on the sustainability of initiatives through the implementation of 44 initiatives. It continues to harness digital transformation to enhance national goals and engage various segments of society. Moreover, it emphasises ongoing academic and scientific studies and research while implementing initiatives within the government’s action plan to achieve sustainable development goals.

At the end of the meeting, she highlighted the "Generations Challenge Competition," which was launched on November 21, targeting young innovators. She also encouraged participation in programmes and events that align with their diverse interests and aspirations, in addition to reviewing the competition's terms, regulations, voting mechanism, and all its details through the website https://www.bahrainouna.com/.
