HH Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa attended the launch of the first event to mark the national celebrations in Riffa at Shiakh Salman bin Ahmed Al Fateh Fort.
During the celebration, HH, the Southern Governor, conveyed heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the residents to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, on the occasion of the national day and HM the King’s accession.
The celebration includes traditional Bahraini Ardha Art, engaging the community in preserving this heritage. The police band provided a distinguished musical performance, while various segments showcased the region's rich history and culture. Notably, the Security Culture Directorate organised a special children's corner with activities related to the "Watani" magazine.
The Southern Governorate has planned an extensive programme of events from December 5 to 15, supported by sponsors like Al Salam Bank and Ahli United Bank, fostering community participation and celebrating the district's legacy and values of loyalty and citizenship.
