On the sideline of the first joint security meeting between Bahrain and Austria, the Austrian Interior Ministry delegation, led by Federal Police and Director of Criminal Intelligence Service, General Mag Andreas Holzer, visited several Interior Ministry directorates and Bahrain International Circuit (BIC). The visits highlight the Interior Ministry's efforts in protecting security and general order, along with services provided to citizens and residents.

The delegation visited the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science. There, they were informed about crime-fighting efforts, especially those aimed at drug and human trafficking.

The delegation also visited the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security and informed about its role in protecting the national economy from various threats, including cybercrimes.

The delegates also visited the Royal Academy of Police. They watched a film on the accomplishment of the pace-sticking team and various academic programmes to enhance the workforce's skills. They also visited the open prisons complex and were briefed on the efforts of the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing to expand the implementation of the alternative sanctions programme and open prisons programme, along with rehabilitation programmes for the beneficiaries to reintegrate them into society.

They also visited the Family and Children Protection Office at the Capital Governorate Police to learn about its duties and contribute to promoting family services. At the BIC, the delegation was informed of the Interior Ministry's efforts to secure the Bahrain Grand Prix (Formula One).
