The Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, met with the Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs, Dr. Isa Nasser Al Noaimi. Officials from both sides attended. The NPRA Undersecretary asserted the significance of joint coordination in reinforcing the quality of services provided to citizens. He noted the active cooperation between government entities to achieve joint strategic goals.
The meeting reviewed means to develop services, including passport and travel permit validity and digital transformation of services. They also discussed services related to replacing passports abroad, including applying via the e-government website or Bahran’s embassies. The meeting focused on improving the international ranking of Bahraini passports by increasing the states that their citizens could get on-arrival visas and enhancing embassies' services, such as delivering passports to citizens living overseas. Both sides agreed to reinforce technical cooperation and reorganise procedures between them to offer innovative services to achieve the development and sustainable goals of the government.
