The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, inaugurated the Vigilant Guardian 13 exercise. The drill was held with the participation of various Interior Ministry directorates, the Royal Bahraini Naval Force, and the National Guard. The event aims to evaluate the preparedness of maritime security in Bahrain’s regional waters and coastlines as part of the Coast Guard's duties. The drill is part of efforts to promote field coordination and cooperation.
The Chief was briefed on the goals and phases of the three-day exercise, highlighting the implementation plans and integration between various security and military entities to showcase commitment to the best security and training practices to achieve competency and readiness.
The Chief valued His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa's instructions to benefit from exercises in achieving common goals and coordinating the implementation of security plans and programmes in facing maritime challenges.
He hailed the effective cooperation and coordination between the participating organisations, as well as the preparedness and realism of the exercise to enhance security capabilities. He also commended the competency, discipline, and integration of the participating officers and personnel.
The Chief asserted the continuation to organise such joint exercises for their significance in developing the workforce, performance and the exchange of expertise. He wished the participants all the best in enhancing their skills and the exercise to achieve its goals.
