The General Directorate of Civil Defence has launched an awareness campaign to inform people about the significance of following safety procedures at fuel stations and vehicles.
The campaign includes visits to fuel stations and interactions with visitors who were informed of the main fueling tips, such as switching off the engine, not smoking, and not using smart devices.
The campaign also includes educating drivers about the procedures that must be taken in emergencies, such as a fire or smoke emission from the vehicle. These include stopping the vehicle safely, stepping out from the car immediately, using a fire extinguisher correctly, and calling emergency services when needed.
The General Directorate of Civil Defence explained that periodic vehicle inspections are essential to ensure safety and prevent potential risks.
