The Interior Ministry is participating in the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority's Manama Retro event to highlight the history of police work in Bahrain.
The Ministry’s participation included a distinguished show by the Bahrain Police Parade presented by the Guard of Honour and the Police Band, which played national musical pieces. The Capital Governorate Police Directorate participated by reviewing the stages of development of the police uniform in a scene that embodies the long history of the Bahraini police and the forces’ effective role in maintaining security and order over the past decades.
The event also includes a display of the first traffic light used in Bahrain in 1941, old motorcycles used by traffic patrols, and a number of traditional cannons that represent an essential part of the history of Bahraini security, which adds a special historical atmosphere to the event. This participation comes from the Ministry of Interior's keenness to enhance interactions with the community and introduce new generations to the history of the Bahraini police and its pivotal role in improving security and stability.
