Civil Defence hold warehouse and factory safety awareness campaign

To promote community partnership, the General Directorate of Civil Defence held a warehouse and factory safety awareness campaign. 
Director-General of Civil Defence, Brigadier Ali Mohammed Kubaisi, said the campaign comes within the framework of the role of the General Directorate of Civil Defence in spreading safety guidelines and the correct methods for securing facilities from fire, preventing its outbreak, and being fully prepared to confront it if it occurs, in coordination with the administrations of factories, companies, and warehouses by training workers on how to act in the event of any emergency, which contributes to reducing the rate of fires and protecting lives and property.
During the campaign, it was ensured that storage sites were separated from manufacturing sites and that there was no source of ignition in them. 
Measures were taken to limit the spread of fire when it occurred in storage sites. In addition, awareness brochures in multiple languages were distributed to educate the largest possible group of workers.
