Director of Alternative Sentencing at the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing Major Jasim Jabr Al-Dosari, along with the accompanying delegation, took part in a dialogue workshop held at the Ministry of Justice in Jordan.
This participation reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to enhancing regional cooperation in criminal justice and expanding the implementation of human-centric reform policies as a cornerstone for building societies.
The participating delegation presented Bahrain's pioneering experience in implementing the Alternative Penalties and Measures Law, highlighting the legislation and practices adopted by the Kingdom to successfully enforce the law, in line with royal directives to advance the criminal justice system.
The workshop discussed ways to enhance restorative justice through alternative sentences and their role in rehabilitating individuals and integrating them into society, thereby promoting social stability. Attendees praised Bahrain's pioneering experience, which has become a model in the Middle East. The workshop also fostered the exchange of ideas and expertise to develop alternative sentencing programmes that contribute to achieving sustainable justice.
