Acting Coast Guard Commander inaugurated the first vessel inspection course at the Maritime Training Wing that is being organised in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
The course continues until February 6, and 26 Coast Guard officers and commissioned officers are participating. It aims to enhance the participants' skills in vessel inspection principles and foundations that meet international laws.
The course includes two stages: the first is theoretical and aims to explain international laws and principles related to inspection operations, risk analysis, and identifying responsibilities while working at sea. The second stage includes practical applications for boarding and inspecting ships and trains participants in writing reports related to operations.
