His Excellency Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa asserted that recognising the Capital Governorate as a "Healthy Capital" reflects the collaborative efforts between the governorate, the Ministry of Health, and relevant bodies.
He explained that the Healthy Capital initiative aims to enhance the environment and promote public health in the governorate through a participatory model focusing on community health and well-being.
During the ceremony, he said, “The Capital Governorate has achieved numerous successes since the launch of the Healthy Cities Programme in 2017. This accomplishment motivated the governorate to expand the programme to cover all areas of the governorate”.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and Health Minister Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hassan, along with all participating entities that supported this vital programme.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, he honoured the contributors and collaborators who played a significant role in the success of the Healthy Capital Programme.
