His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and Minister of Works Ibrahim bin Hassan Al Hawaj, under their joint collaboration, convened to discuss development and service projects addressing the needs of local residents. In the presence of Deputy Southern Governor Colonel Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayyat, and senior officials from both parties.
At the outset of the meeting, HH the Southern Governor emphasised the governorate’s commitment to addressing residents’ needs in service and development, in close cooperation with relevant authorities. This is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, across all sectors of the governorate.
During the meeting, the key projects and plans to enhance the governorate’s infrastructure were discussed, including the development of the road network to improve traffic flow and the upgrade of rainwater drainage systems to mitigate water accumulation during the rainy season. These initiatives form part of ongoing efforts to ensure the sustainability of the infrastructure.
HH the Southern Governor highlighted that the service and development projects in the Southern Governorate reflect the strong cooperation and coordination between the governorate and various ministries, including the Ministry of Works, aimed at fulfilling citizens' aspirations for progress and prosperity through the implementation of innovative projects.
He underscored joint coordination to achieve development goals aligned with the governorate’s priorities and discussed accelerating the implementation of innovative projects to meet residents' needs.
The Works Minister affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to implementing development projects that align with national plans and fulfil the aspirations of residents in the Southern Governorate, with a focus on enhancing infrastructure.
He noted ongoing cooperation with the Southern Governorate to implement projects that meet residents' needs, enhance services, and support sustainable development in line with urban growth.
