The Civil Defence rescued on Wednesday two Asians after pulling them out from the rubble of a collapsed building in Arad. Meanwhile, one death and four injuries were reported. The civil defence carried out the necessary procedures, in cooperation with relevant Interior Ministry directorates, that secured all sides of the accident site and regulated traffic in the area.
Seven civil defence engines and 38 personnel rushed to the scene to tackle the accident of the collapsed building that consisted of shops and flats. The National Ambulance swiftly referred the injured to the hospital for medical care.
Initial details indicated that the accident was caused by a gas cylinder explosion. The owner of the collapsed building was summoned, and an investigation was launched to determine the circumstances and causes of the accident and to carry out legal proceedings to ensure that such incidents won’t occur again.
