The Deputy Interior Minister, Lt-General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel, chaired Bahrain’s delegation at the 'No Money for Terror' Ministerial Conference in Germany, with the participation of 49 countries and 16 international organisations.
The conference discussed topics on the agenda. The experiences of participating countries were reviewed to combat the financing of terrorism and dry up its sources internationally, bridge the gaps in the complex global financial system arising from the development of illegal cyberspace, and protect the economic system of unlawful transactions aimed at destabilising peace and stability in secure societies.
The Deputy Interior Minister said that concerned national institutions are constantly aware of terrorist networks operating in the region and beyond, all of which affect national and regional security. He highlighted that the Kingdom supports all efforts made by countries to combat terrorist organisations and networks that continue to threaten the peace and stability of the international community.
