More than 19 universities and higher education institutions are actively participating in “The Challenge”, showcasing exceptional youth contributions, talents, and achievements across various fields. This initiative embodies national pride as a core value, reinforcing citizenship and belonging under the framework of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Patriotism "Bahrainouna".
Through this challenge, the initiative aims to engage various segments of society, particularly youth, while highlighting educational institutions’ crucial role in nurturing future leaders and innovators. This reaffirms Bahrain’s vision for the future, which is built on collaboration and partnership.
On this occasion, Major General Mohammed bin Dainah, the General Superintendent of the Executive Office for the “Bahrainouna” National Plan, expressed his deep appreciation for the support of His Excellency Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of "Bahrainouna" Initiatives.
He emphasized that His Excellency’s directives serve as a strategic roadmap for advancing efforts to strengthen Bahraini identity, foster national belonging, and develop innovative and effective mechanisms to achieve these noble objectives, ensuring the sustainability of the initiative’s core values.
As part of this initiative, the “Bahrainouna” team has conducted introductory sessions and workshops across more than 19 universities, successfully engaging thousands of faculty members and students. “The challenge” is open to both Bahraini citizens and residents, allowing them to share their positive experiences with a global audience through social media platforms. The deadline for participation is March 31, 2025, with the winners set to showcase their contributions at the Bahrainouna Exhibition scheduled for April 2025.
This initiative provides a valuable opportunity for young individuals to express their creativity and share their perspectives on society. In addition to focusing on students in educational institutions, “Bahrainouna”extends “The Challenge” to other community members aged 13 and above, fostering meaningful discussions on national values and identity while strengthening unity and shared purpose across generations.
The initiative also emphasizes engaging the digital youth generation through social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Beyond enhancing youth participation in the digital sphere, the contest encourages the creation of sustainable, positive digital content that reflects their experiences. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop skills in various fields, including photography, filmmaking, public speaking, arts, technology, and more.
