HE Interior Minister attends MOI Bahrain Tennis Challenger Finale

His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa attended the Ministry of Interior Bahrain Tennis Challenger finale on Saturday morning.  Advisor to His Majesty the King for Youth and Sports Affairs, Saleh bin Isa Bin Hindi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed, Minister of Youth Affairs, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan and senior officials attended. 

On this occasion, HE the Interior Minister asserted that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's royal care and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the sports sector have contributed to the global development of Bahrain sports and athletes. He highlighted the initiatives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports that reinforced the youth and sports sectors, which established exemplary rules and a sustainable approach on the path of giving and progress.

HE the Interior Minister hailed the technical and organisational level of the tournament in its 4th edition and what it has achieved in terms of a high status on the international sports map, especially after winning the Best Asia-Pacific Championship Award of the Association of Tennis Professionals. He noted the tournament distinction through the participation of internationally ranked players and competitive sports performance committed to sportsmanship, in addition to the good preparation and organisation, teamwork and integrated efforts of all parties. He thanked the General Supervisor of the tournament, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, members of the organising committee and the Bahrain Tennis Federation for his effective cooperation, and the Public Security Sports Association, the Director of the Police Officers Club and all employees of the club for their integrated efforts that contributed to the success of the event.

HE the Interior Minister honoured the sponsors of the tournament and the volunteers of the "Fakhr Media Platform".

HE the Interior Minister, the attendees and the tennis-loving fans witnessed part of the final match. Hungarian player Marton Fucsovics won the singles category after defeating his Italian opponent Andrea Vavassori with a score of (6-3, 6-7, 6-4), while the duo of Ukrainian Vitali Sashko and Kazakh Beibit Zhukayev won the doubles title in the final match after defeating the duo of Russian Ivan Liutarevich and French Lucas Sanchez with a score of (6/4 - 6/0). 

At the end of the tournament, the Chief of Public Security crowned the winners with cups and memorial gifts and wished everyone success.
