The General Directorate of Civil Defence launched its periodic awareness campaign as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance awareness of safety regulations in workers' shared accommodations across all governorates of the Kingdom.
A specialised team conducted field visits to several shared housing units, aiming to educate as many expatriate workers as possible about safety standards in housing and the importance of following the required safety guidelines. During these visits, experts offered advice, safety tips, and technical consultations to help increase awareness and reduce the risk of accidents and fires. Employers were reminded of the importance of complying with safety regulations in workers' accommodations by providing the necessary safety equipment and systems to protect lives and property.
In addition, a variety of awareness posters in English, Urdu, and Hindi were distributed.
