Director-General of Civil Defence, Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al-Kubaisi stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s participation in the ministerial meeting of the Arab Regional Forum for Disaster Risk Reduction embodies its firm commitment to enhancing regional and international cooperation in crisis and disaster management. He pointed out that Bahrain, in line with the directives of wise leadership, gives great importance to developing integrated strategies to reduce risks and enhance the national capacity to deal with disasters efficiently and effectively.
He highlighted during his participation that such meetings represent a vital platform for exchanging experiences and best practices between countries, which contributes to raising the level of readiness and preparedness to face future challenges. He added that the inclusion of the Bahraini National Civil Protection Platform within the United Nations (PreventionWeb) platform reflects the progress made by the Kingdom in developing a comprehensive system for community awareness and enhancing public safety.
The forum selected the National Civil Protection Platform as a main reference for preparing an integrated Arab platform within the Arab Coordination Mechanism for Disaster Risk Reduction, which reflects its importance in providing accurate data and supporting regional efforts in awareness and effective response to disasters.
