Deputy Interior Minister Lt.General Adel bin Khalifa Al-Fadhel attended the closing ceremony of the fourth edition of the Bahrain Firefighter Challenge. The event, held at The Avenues Bahrain, was organised by the General Directorate of Civil Defence as part of the celebration of World Civil Defence Day 2025. The ceremony was also attended by Chief of Public Security Lt. General Tariq bin Hasan Al-Hasan.
On this occasion, the Deputy Interior Minister praised the remarkable achievements and advanced capabilities attained by the General Directorate of Civil Defence. He attributed these accomplishments to the support and strategic guidance of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. He emphasised that this support has led to a qualitative leap in Bahrain’s civil defence system and affirmed the ongoing efforts to develop and modernise this vital sector to achieve the desired objectives.
During the ceremony, General Adel bin Khalifa Al-Fadhel honoured the contributing entities and the winners of the challenge. He commended the high level of performance demonstrated by the participants, stressing the significance of such events in enhancing the efficiency and field readiness of civil defence teams in line with the highest standards. He also highlighted that the challenge showcased the participants' skills, readiness, endurance, and exceptional physical fitness in executing technical tasks.
The Deputy Interior Minister thanked the General Directorate of Civil Defence for the excellent organisation of the event. He also conveyed his thanks to the supporting and sponsoring entities for their contributions to the challenge.
