The Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, Major-General Abdulaziz Al Rumaihi, participated in the International Conference on Fraud Prevention in Dubai from February 26 to 27. Experts and specialists attended.
The Director-General thanked the Dubai Police, praising the role of the General Department of Criminal Investigations in combating crime and resolving security issues in a way that enhances security and stability in Dubai while commending its efforts in strengthening international cooperation to combat fraud crimes.
He affirmed the importance of holding the conference in light of the current security challenges. The conference contributes to anticipating the future of security work and enhancing strategies to combat crime, especially electronic fraud, through exchanging experiences, presenting innovative initiatives, and developing security projects.
During the event, Major Mohammed AL Abdullah highlighted Bahrain's efforts to fight cyber frauds through various steps, including analysing the problems, procedures, challenges and future inspiration.
It is worth noting that the conference discusses several topics, including the negative impact of fraud crimes at the international level, the most prominent modern fraud methods, enhancing international cooperation in combating these crimes, the main challenges facing security agencies, the role of technology and artificial intelligence in reducing fraud, and the importance of awareness and the role of the private sector.
