The Recovery programme launched by the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science in 2018 to help drug addicts won for the second time the silver award of the Stevie International Awards for the Middle East and North Africa for the innovation and community impact category in the United Arab Emirates. Government and private organisations from various countries were taken.
The Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science expressed gratitude for the milestone. He said winning for the second time reflects the commitment to implement the programme using the best practices in helping the recovery of drug addicts to promote community partnership. He valued the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister that contributed to the winning of the award that is one of the most prominent awards in international business, institutional excellence and human resources, as more than 4,000 candidates worldwide, representing more than 60 countries, compete for the awards annually.
