Traffic offers its services via MyGov app

MOI

The General Directorate of Traffic announced offering a host of traffic services via the MyGov app. The move was part of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the follow-up of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
The Director-General of Traffic, Major-General Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, asserted that this step comes within the framework of achieving turning points in government services through digital innovation, which will contribute to reinforcing performance competency and providing facilitated and secure services for citizens and residents.
He highlighted that the first phase would introduce viewing the driving licence, vehicle ownership, and number plate, as well as services related to renewing driving licences, vehicle registration, and paying traffic fines.
The Director-General noted that traffic services could be accessed through the MyGov app using the advanced electronic key (eKey2.0). This provides users with a unified and secure login experience through the biometric authentication system (face print), which enhances security and makes login more convenient.
He said that, in the coming phases, services of the eTraffic app will be introduced to the MyGov app through cooperation with the Information and eGovernment Authority. He emphasised that the process of stopping the eTraffic app will be gradual, according to the analysis of the experience of citizens and residents.
The General Directorate of Traffic called on all citizens and residents to download the MyGov app, available through the e-Government Applications Store (bahrain.bh/apps), to benefit from its advanced digital services. They can also submit their suggestions and comments through the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul) or the Tawasul app or by directly contacting the Government Services Contact Center: 80008001.
