Chief of Public Security Chairs a coordination meeting for F1

The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, chaired a coordination meeting to follow up on the security preparations and arrangements for the Kingdom’s hosting of the Bahrain Grand Prix (Formula 1). Interior Ministry’s directors and a representative of the Bahrain International Circuit attended. 
The Chief asserted that the meeting is part of the follow-up of security arrangements to ensure the success of the global event. He pointed out that Bahrain has more than two decades of experience in organising the event per international standards. 
The Chief highlighted the significance of reviewing plans to secure the race, participants, and visitors.  In addition to implementing these plans within scenarios to assess the readiness of the participating forces and their ability to professionally and skillfully handle any emergency. He emphasised the importance of integrated coordination between various security directorates, units, and relevant entities to ensure full readiness. He affirmed the importance of continuing coordination meetings and conducting field follow-ups to achieve the desired standards and objectives, thereby ensuring the safety and security of all.
The Chief appreciated efforts made by all relevant authorities to ensure the success of this global sporting event. He emphasised the Ministry of Interior's commitment, represented by its various authorities, to contributing to the success of this national event and highlighting Bahrain's status as a leading destination for hosting international sporting events.
