As part of its ongoing efforts to safeguard marine resources and crack down on violations, the Coast Guard conducted a joint inspection campaign at the Manama Central Market. The initiative was conducted in cooperation with several directorates of the Ministry of Interior, the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), and the Marine Control and Inspection Directorate at Manama Central Market.
During the campaign, authorities recorded several violations, including breaches of fishing laws and unlicensed labour. Legal actions have been taken.
The Coast Guard emphasised the importance of all seafarers adhering to the Kingdom’s fishing laws and regulations. It further affirmed that such inspection campaigns will continue to preserve marine resources.
