Director of Alternative Sentencing at the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing received a delegation from Kuwait Women’s Police Institute, as part of a visit aimed at learning about the Kingdom of Bahrain’s experience in implementing the Alternative Sentencing Programme.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the most prominent rehabilitation and training programmes offered to beneficiaries of the initiative, in addition to highlighting the Open Prisons Programme—one of the pioneering initiatives aimed at enhancing security and advancing the human rights framework.
The delegation visited the directorate’s facilities, where they observed modern equipment and advanced technologies that enhance operational efficiency and support the administrative procedures of the programme.
