The Commander of the Royal Academy of Police (RAP), Major-General Fawaz Al Hassan, received a delegation from Kuwait’s Women Police, led by Assistant Director of the Women Police Institute, Col. Adhari Mohammed Al Safi.
Initially, RAP Commander welcomed the delegation, emphasising the depth of cooperation and ties between academic and security institutions in both countries. He noted that cooperation, coordination, and the exchange of visits between academic and security institutions demonstrate the advanced levels of security cooperation.
He emphasised RAP’s commitment to enhancing cooperation and exchanging expertise with the Kuwaiti Women Police Institute in various areas of qualification and training, contributing to developing skills and keeping pace with police and security developments. He praised the importance of these visits in examining best practices in police training and education, strengthening cooperation, and exchanging successful experiences between the two sides.
The delegation was briefed on the RAP role, its stages of development, and the workflow mechanism in its various departments, in addition to the most prominent academic and training programmes it offers, especially those aimed at qualifying female police personnel from the Ministry of Interior.
The delegation also conducted field visits to several directorates concerned with training and qualifying female personnel at the Ministry of Interior and was briefed on sports programmes, activities, and training services provided by the Public Security Sports Federation.
The delegation also visited the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology, where they were briefed on its technical and scientific capabilities. They also visited the Child Care Centre at the Ministry of Social Development.
For her part, Col. Al Safi appreciated the visit and expressed her aspirations to strengthen partnership and cooperation with the Academy in various academic and training fields, serving the common interests of both parties.
