As part of efforts to strengthen community presence and showcase its role in maintaining security and safety, and in line with its commitment to raising public awareness, the Interior Ministry directorates participated in the 2025 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix through a dedicated pavilion at the Bahrain International Circuit. The pavilion highlighted key tasks, technological initiatives, and awareness campaigns undertaken by the Ministry, reaffirming its commitment to effectively engaging all segments of society.

In its first participation, the Information & eGovernment Authority highlighted its latest technological projects, including the unified application for individual services “MyGov,” the upgraded version of the eKey application (Key 2.0), and various other digital services.

Major Fatima Gharib, head of Internal Relations at the Public Relations Directorate, explained that the main concept behind the Ministry of Interior's pavilion this year is to showcase the police's modern role by highlighting its latest technology-based services.

The exhibition leverages interactive VR games to promote public safety and features demonstrations from various directorates, including Civil Defence, Traffic, Operations, Protocol and VIP Protection, and the National Ambulance Centre. It also includes a display of the official uniforms used by the Ministry's different directorates.

The head of the Child Protection in Cyberspace Unit, Major Eng. Fawazz Mohammed Ali highlighted that the unit aims to raise children's and families' awareness of cyberspace risks.

Meanwhile, Major Kholood Yahya Ibrahim, Head of the Awareness and Education at the General Directorate of Traffic, spoke about the importance of participating by showcasing e-traffic services and awareness. The pavilion also featured the latest patrol vehicles equipped with modern cameras for monitoring traffic violations and responding to public inquiries.

As part of the participation of the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing within the Ministry of Interior’s pavilion, Captain Khalid Adel Al Khaja from the Verdict Enforcement Directorate and a member of the “Fael Khair” programme, explained that the participation aims to raise awareness among visitors about the importance of the “Fael Khair” initiative, which supports individuals in financial distress who are facing judicial rulings. He noted that donations can be made to help those in need through the available electronic platforms.

The Police K9 Unit of the Special Security Force showcased its operational mechanisms and areas of specialisation by offering visitors explanations about the roles performed by police dogs in various security missions. The unit also introduced the tools used and how they are deployed according to the nature of each task and security situation.

The event’s visitors admired the pavilion, and several expressed appreciation for the provided services.
