HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince congratulated by Capital Governor

His Excellency Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on Bahrain’s successful hosting of the 2025 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix. 

His Excellency affirmed that this outstanding success reflects the wise vision of His Majesty the King and embodies the dedicated efforts of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in strengthening Bahrain’s position globally. 

He praised the collaboration among various government entities and institutions, which represented the spirit of "Team Bahrain" that reflected the professionalism of the people of Bahrain and contributed to presenting the event in a distinguished manner. 

 

His Excellency also noted the contribution of this international sporting event to enhancing economic and tourism activity, and its role in showcasing the cultural and civilisational side of the Kingdom of Bahrain, especially in the capital, Manama, which warmly welcomed visitors from all over the world in an atmosphere of outstanding hospitality.

 

Furthermore, His Excellency congratulated the McLaren team on winning first place in this year’s Bahrain Grand Prix, marking their first victory in the race since Bahrain began hosting Formula 1 in 2004. He noted that this achievement reflects the success of national investments in international platforms and underscores the vital role played by the Kingdom in supporting global sports.
