The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science has held an anti-human trafficking training course. The course was held in cooperation with the Public Security and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority and targeted 27 law enforcers.
The training course covered several key topics, focusing on the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to promote human rights, raise awareness about the crime of human trafficking, its elements, the concept of a human trafficking victim, methods of identification, and the procedures to be followed for their protection. It also highlighted the legal safeguards granted to victims under Bahraini legislation, the Public Prosecution’s efforts in combating human trafficking, the role of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, and indicators of forced labour within the framework of the National Referral System.
