The President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chaired the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the 13th meeting of the Executive Council of the Customs Union Authority in Riyadh.
During the meeting, attendees reviewed the minutes and reports of the technical committees and working groups and the project report by the strategic plan. They also discussed developments in implementing the decisions of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee and the Executive Council decisions of the Customs Union Authority. They also followed up on the operational work of the Customs Union Authority and the Authority's draft budget for 2026.
After the meeting, the Customs Union Authority issued recommendations, including approving the Authority's budget. The Customs Union Authority was also directed to quickly implement the Executive Council's decisions to fulfill the requirements of the Gulf Customs Union.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the new headquarters of the Customs Union Authority was inaugurated in Riyadh, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Heads of Customs.
