The Interior Ministry won the Innovation and Internet of Things Award for its “First Responder” project during Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2025. The award was handed by His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to the Deputy Chief of Public Security, Major-General Dr Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief praised the unlimited support the National Ambulance Centre receives from His Excellency Interior Minister and the continuous follow-up of the Chief of Public Security, which contributes to the development of services provided to citizens and residents.
He expressed his pride in winning the award, which supports the Ministry's efforts in developing access mechanisms and enhancing effectiveness and rapid response to medical emergencies, especially in areas of traffic congestion and narrow streets and passages in all governorates.
