His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, presided over a ceremony honouring the security and service authorities that ensured the success of the 2024/2025 camping season. The event was attended by Deputy Southern Governor Colonel Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayat, alongside senior officers and government officials.
HH the Southern Governor affirmed that the honour reflects the vital role of the authorities involved in the success of the camping season through cooperation, community partnership, and innovative digital channels. He highlighted the coordinated efforts in addressing security, organisational, and environmental needs, showcasing effective collaboration with the relevant authorities.
The Director of Engineering Services and Investment, Mohamed Al Nuaimi, highlighted the Southern Governorate’s notable organisational efforts during the camping season, particularly the successful implementation of the “Electronic Tents” initiative via the Al Janubiyah app, enabling fully digital registration and services. He also highlighted the launch of a digital map. He coordinated awareness campaigns with the government, security, and private sectors, reflecting the governorate’s commitment to digital transformation and civic engagement.
