The Customs Affairs arrested an Asian, 24, for attempting to traffic 5.95 KG of narcotics worth around BD90,000 via the Bahrain International Airport.
Customs officers suspected the traveller upon his arrival at the airport. He was referred to the red lane, and illicit drugs were found inside four packages hidden professionally in the bag. The case was referred to the Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, which managed to arrest a second Asian suspect, 23, inside Bahrain over his involvement in the incident. Legal proceedings were taken, and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
