The Deputy Chief of Public Security, Major-General Dr Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, attended the inauguration of the 3rd edition of the Run for Autism marathon, held with the participation of 400 individuals. The event was organised by the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioural & Communication Difficulties and in partnership with the Public Security Presidency.
The Deputy Chief affirmed that the Interior Ministry is committed to strengthening community partnerships with various institutions and civic society members, participating in impactful initiatives that promote social solidarity, and supporting all efforts aimed at building a cohesive society.
The Deputy Chief added that the Interior Ministry, represented by the Community Affairs Division of the Public Security Presidency, has trained several ministry personnel on responding to the needs of individuals with behavioural and communication difficulties, enabling them to participate actively in society. This includes regularly visiting specialised rehabilitation centres and engaging directly with these segments.
