The Civil Defence teams extinguished a fire in a flat on the second floor of a 9-floor residential building in the Hajiyat area. Two fatalities were reported in the case of a 30-year-old youth with special needs and his 48-year-old mother, who fell from the balcony while trying to escape the fire. Meanwhile, a child was transferred to the hospital for treatment due to suffocation, and his health condition is stable.
The main operations room received the case at 2:45 am, and the civil defence teams reached within 10 minutes. Sixteen individuals were rescued after the heavy smoke trapped them. A total of 116 tenants were evacuated, the fire was controlled, and the cooling operations were carried out. An investigation was launched to determine the reason and circumstances behind the fire.
